Parent input sought about hybrid in-person learning in Howard County

The Howard County Public School System is exploring opportunities for hybrid personal learning in winter and they need to know what parents are up to with their children. District officials ask parents for information about this process. Hybrid personal learning is slated to begin on February 1st and will be different from the small-group tuition some families are currently receiving. The district seeks to understand the families' intentions to send their students back to school if that option becomes available or to continue full virtual learning. In addition, knowing whether students who qualify for the bus service would use the bus service is critical to planning, the district said. Parents who wish to share their thoughts can do so by going to the district's Connect website with their parent / guardian's credentials. Select "More Options" in the left pane. Select "Intention to Participate in Hybrid Personal Instructions" near the center of the page. Fill out the questions in the form for each child and select "Save". The deadline for completing the form is 4:00 p.m. on October 23. Answers to the form are not required for the second semester. Parents and legal guardians can change their decision when the plans for the second semester are completed. Submitting this form will make planning easier for the district.
